WEDDING DRESS TRENDS FOR SPRING & SUMMER
With the weather getting warmer and the leaves returning to the trees we can't help but get anxious for Spring and Summer weddings. We've been skimming bridal magazines, visiting our designers and talking with our brides about all the amazing trends soon to arrive in store. We have picked our FAVS and are going to share them with you today along with pictures that we think embody these trends.
1. FLORAL DETAILS
Florals for spring? Groundbreaking... but lets be real we all love a floral motif for Spring. We have been seeing laces with big floral patterns all over dresses and even some 3D elements. Martina Liana wowed us with the romantic garden feel of her dresses this season and our brides have been all about it!
2. STUNNING BACKS
Move over strapless you now have major competition! We have been seeing low backs, lace backs, and tattoo backs non-stop. Nowadays brides want the back of their gown to be just has stunning as the front - after all, half of your guests will be looking at your back at all times! Designers like Allison Webb and Martina Liana have taken note of this and created the most gorgeous works of art.
3. STRUCTURED DETAILS
Simple gowns were few and far between for quite some time. Matthew Christopher and Allison Webb listened to what brides were asking for and gave it to them in a big way. Design elements like box pleats, soft ruching, strategically placed seams, fresh necklines, and architectural details like draped knots and bows, gave new life to the "simple wedding dress".
4. MODERN ELEMENTS
We have been seeing more and more brides wanting to take risks and be super fashion forward. This excites us, we love seeing brides think outside the box. Designer Rosa Clara of Rosa Clara Couture is not shy when it comes to creating unique wedding gowns. Details like bell sleeves, high slits, and capes are becoming more mainstream in the bridal fashion industry!
