GLAM THE DRESS AND SIMPLY LUXE
Bridal portraits are an essential party of your wedding Photography but with everything moving a mile a minute on the big day you may not get the deserved attention as the bride. That's why Alex from Alexandra Lee Photography created a Glam the Dress session. Brides get the opportunity to get glam again and have all of the focus on capturing their bridal beauty!
Simply Luxe Bridal was lucky to get to be a part of the very first shoot! The day started with hair and makeup. Alana of Amelia & Co Chicago was the makeup artist on set. Her knowledge of what makes bridal makeup pop truly shined through! Hair for the shoot was done by Tamara of Tamara Holden Hair. She was incredible! Her attention to detail and raw talent were showcased beautifully in Anna's (the absolutely STUNNING model) hair. The floral arrangements, like the gorgeous bouquet and killer flower crown were created by the crazy talented John from Twisted Stem Floral. His work was breathtaking and nothing short of magical. The venue, located in Elgin, Illinois, was a charming yet glam loft. Perfect for small weddings, bridal showers or even elegant cocktail parties. The space was filled with amazing vintage pieces from Elements Preserved that would give any wedding that special touch of elegance.
The first look reflects the classic bride. Timeless elegance was captured with smoky, blown out makeup, a loose and romantic hair style. The dress was the show stopping Ora gown from Watters. This dress, that you can find at Simply Luxe Bridal, features an a-line soft netting skirt (perfect for twirling) and a beautiful tonal beaded bodice. The detail of the beadwork shines whether you are up close and personal or are a guest all the way in the back of the church. The illusion strap with lattice beadwork has a modern and fashion forward feel that without would otherwise be just a classic strap.
For the second look there were definite boho vibes being played on. A rose pink lip added a fun pop to a classic eye look. While a boho braid accented by a show stopping flower crown brought a new and fresh meaning to the word "bridal".
We paired this look with a sweet and classic dress from Ti Adora. A soft lace bodice with a strapless neckline was perfect as to not compete with the drama upon the model's head. An etherial and dreamy chiffon skirt give the dress a bohemian feel without losing the bridal aspect. What makes this dress unique is the cut out lace back that give the dress a little bit of sexy but it still covered!
